Hey there,

I'm sure you've done your research but maybe should take a look at this:

http://bettacare101.com/mythvsreality5/

If you put them in the same tank it should only be for when they are ready to breed but in between breeding they should be kept separate.

Trade me is a good place to look,

Using search terms: Betta, Fighter, Siamese in the fish section

There is less on there than usual at the moment but they come and go.

Can't really tell from that photo - tail might be drooped (not fanned out) for all we know,

It's supposedly a Plakat which have shorter tails than the regular half moons. Agreed it should be a 180 degree tail but it could just be poor photo.

But shoot him not the messenger.

Considering the details in the auction look a little dodgy "(no view or ask contact no) " I would skip this one.

I am always wary when it comes to purchasing anything - if you are not sure ask.

If in doubt opt out.

At the end of the day you win some lose some.

BTW Beautiful fish Sophieee!

What do you hope to achieve by crossing a delta to a ct. Do you have a goal that you aim for or are you just breeding to sell the offspring?

You should put your time into breeding pure strain and improving them instead .

Just my opinion.

That an assumption.... and a bit rude too, yes i had a goal, but unfortunately i missed out on that girl. I also make it a point to learn the history of the fish to see what traits it carries and the possibilities.
