my tank 200 x 90 x 60 in 12mm glass cost $1400 (if i remember correctly), i was also quoted $1000 by another company but they were going to make it slightly different. Tell that glazier asking for $2400 for a small tank to shove it up..

I would scrap that filter and buy a new aquaone cannister filter, like 1200+ . You will be amazed how much better it will clean the water and provide good circulation. I actually had that same brand filter (same condition by the looks of it) on a 400L tank i bought and i had it running for a 4 days before i biffed it.

Go have a quick look at an electrical wholesaler like J.A Russels, simposons or ideal electrical. They should stock or be able to order in any light you find in one of the many brochures they have.

Looks fine, when its old and failing it will look like old chewing gum. If you get more bubbles or large bubbles then i would start to worry. (in that case lower the water level)

Clear plastic? All evaporated water will fall back into the tank and you could see better. If you position it right you won't get water forming on the front piece.
